Last month, OpenAI launched new dedicated apps for ChatGPT on iOS and iPadOS, officially making the AI chatbot available outside of your browser for the first time. Now, the app’s layout has been enhanced for iPadOS to optimise the use of the iPad’s larger screen space.
With the update, ChatGPT will now run full screen on iPadOS instead of appearing as an iPhone-sized app running in windowed mode. The updated app also includes drag and drop, Siri support, and Shortcuts integration. The drag-and-drop support means messages can now be dragged out of the chat interface into other apps.
Meanwhile, Siri support means that the ChatGPT app can now be accessed directly from the voice assistant. Shortcuts support allows users to start a new chat and integrate that into Apple’s Shortcuts automation.
Recent updates to the ChatGPT app made improvements to chat history and voice input. The app isn’t available on Android as of yet but the company plans to launch one in the near future.
